Worlds First GPS Tracking System is Nearly Two Thousand Years Old

GPS tracking from (global positioning satellites) is becoming almost standard equipment on cars today. The penchant to ?know? may be what is driving the consumer more than the fear of getting lost. Add to that the lack of time in today?s fast paced society, who has got time to sit down and read a map?

In addition to tracking devices Detroit is equipping autos with gauges and devices that can read such things as the air pressure in the tires or the condition of your motor oil. Almost every system in the car is now monitored by computers and the information is fed back to the driver in one form or another including voice messages.

Evangelists and preachers have used the adage that the ?Bible is the road map for life? many times in their messages and missives throughout this generation. Out of the genre of strictly American bred music comes a similar message from what is known as Appalachian Mountain Music. The old Bluegrass song is widely known and is aptly entitled ?I?m Using My Bible as a Roadmap.?

Some might say the words are too simplistic but hardly anyone wouldn?t say that in today?s fast paced and complicated world, simple and direct is exactly what we need. The straight up message can be seen in the first stanza of the song.

I?m using my bible as a road map Ten Commandments, they tell me what to do The twelve disciples are my road signs And Jesus will see me safely through

How many Americans see the Bible as a roadmap to life? Fortunately for the moment that number is still very high in this country but reports say the numbers are rapidly falling. The pace of modern life in America is blamed in part for the decline but even more so is the proclivity to follow cultural and popular trends. Fitting in and riding the present wave are more desirable to many than any old fashioned notion of trusting God, personal responsibility and building character.

The perception that the entire Bible is a declaration of ?Thou Shalt Nots? is anything but accurate. When it comes to the New Testament hardly any restrictions are noted. It is rather a ?How To? kind of message. It covers all subjects having to do with our relationship to God, to others and even to ourselves.

The New Testament message far precedes modern psychology?s message of the need for self esteem with such verses as ??love thy neighbour as thyself.? Mark 12:31

Long before Congress formed legislation to curb and punish hate crimes the New Testament said ?If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?? 1 John 4:20

Most Christians are aware of the many books written on the 700 or more promises of God. Not as well known are the books called ?topical Bibles.? The topical Bible is a comprehensive listing of all the subjects covered by the Bible. Perhaps it is time for someone to make an electronic device that can bring up that categorized information at the touch of a button or a voice command much the same as a GPS device.

Actually that has already been done. The device even predates the New Testament. It is the human heart. By some systematic and applied study the entire New Testament can be learned and called upon by ordinary people in a split second of time when needed. David the ancient King and writer of the Psalms said it the best in Psalm 119:11 ?Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.?

Jesus said he would empower the God given tracking device years after David mentioned its existence. ?But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.? John 14:26

The beauty of Gods GPS tracking system is that it is available to anyone rich or poor. No one needs to own a Lexus or a Lincoln to empower their system. They need only faith in God and a willingness to program the device with Gods word.

Cellular GPS Phone Tracking

Not so long ago, a typical field trip would require a youngster to bring a camera to capture moments, a tape or CD player for some music, and a handy phone so that the parents can easily keep in touch with the child.

Today, all these purposes can be fulfilled by just having the right cellular phone.

There are many models of cellular phones that we see in the market today. Each one has its own features and capabilities that can suit a particular lifestyle or taste. This event makes a techno person very much enjoy the benefits of modern developments.

This time, one can enjoy good music, quality camera and communications with the cellular phones offered in the market to day.

GPS Tracking System

One good feature that can be enjoyed from the most modern cellular GPS phone is the tracking system aspect.

You must have heard of the 3G and 3G plus cellular phones from some advertisements posted by network companies. These features are more than just another trendy label for the people to follow.

3G cellular phones will actually allow any user to be able to determine the geographical position of the caller. As such, it is like having a tracker at hand.

This whole tracking system feature of cellular phones is made possible by the GPS system.

What Is GPS?

A cellular GPS phone will be able to know the physical location of any person who makes an incoming call to the cell. This is possible, wherever in the world the caller may be.

The GPS actually stands for Global Positioning System. This is a system that involves radio navigation through the use of the satellites that orbit the globe.

GPS first started as a system developed by the Department of Defense of the United States. They first called it the Navigation Satellite Training and Ranging or the NAVSTAR.

This venture started sometime in the 1960's but it was only formally initiated in 1978. The endeavor developed and improved. In 1995, it became operational.

GPS operates today using three main components. These are the satellites, the earth monitoring stations and the receivers.

At the moment, 24 satellites are orbiting the earth. They reach thousands of miles of distance from the surface of the earth to be able to pick signals from a large geographical area.

These satellites will then send out signals back to the earth. These signals can be received by a cellular phone with a GPS system. These signals will be processed to provide a report on a particular location.

The more signals that a unit will receive from the satellites, the more accurate the report will be with regard to the position.

Advantages of Cellular GPS Phone with GPS Tracking

There are some people who are quite hesitant with the advent of this technology. They think that privacy may be easily affected by such creations.

However, one cannot deny that there are of course certain benefits that GPS will fully serve to the people.

A Cellular GPS Phone is very useful in emergency situations. In case of emergency like a road accident, a 911 call can be easily made through any cellular phone.

However, people will not always know their precise location when they travel, especially in such a stressful situation. Thus, the GPS can facilitate easily the 911 crew in pinpointing the precise location of the accident.

The GPS is also especially useful for the defense system of any country. It can facilitate more the authorities in tracking and catching suspects and culprits that can threaten the society. This is even more significant considering the constant terror threat today.

As regards the people who fear for their privacy, there are recent measures that can make them feel more at ease with the GPS technology.

There are certain significant laws that have been passed to ensure the protection of privacy.

Those people who have cellular phones with GPS system can be protected from release of any physical tracking. The information will only be given out if the owner consents, save for the purpose of 911 emergency calls.

These measures will ensure that the benefits of GPS will be enjoyed by society without infringing on the right to privacy of anybody.

Owning a high-tech cellular phone is a good thing as it makes the world smaller for you and your love ones. So the next time you consider purchasing a phone for you or your family, get one that is a cellular GPS phone.

7 Ways to Use a GPS Vehicle Tracking System

Have you ever thought about installing a GPS vehicle tracking system? Although you may have seen the commercials and have some knowledge of how the system operates, you may still have questions as to how the GPS actually works and how it can serve your personal needs.

1- The most obvious reason to have a GPS vehicle tracking system is in a situation where your car is stolen. If you ever become a victim of vehicle theft and are lucky enough to have a GPS system installed all you will need to do is to inform your GPS carrier of the theft. They can track the cars??? exact location and its speed, when the vehicle has been located, they will call police to recover it for you.

2- If you happen to be traveling in your car and it begins to show signs of a mechanical issue, or perhaps it completely breaks down and leaves you stranded in the middle of nowhere, you will have the peace of mind of knowing that you only have to push a button and help will be summoned. Most systems will have this particular button labeled as a ???communication??? button.

3- Perhaps one of the most important and emotional reasons to have a GPS vehicle tracking system installed in your car is the ???panic??? button. This button is to be used in cases of emergency. This can include everything from a fender bender to a carjacking, what ever the reason, when this button is pushed an operator at the GPS carrier can immediately listen to what is happening. If it is safe, and there is no robbery taking place, they will talk to you and help to asses the situation. If, however, they determine that it would be detrimental to speak to you, they will contact the authorities for you.

4- If you happen to be directionally challenged, you have the capability to press the communication button. This will put you in contact with someone who can give you directions that will lead you to your exact destination. In fact, a GPS vehicle tracking system is great for many of life???s little mishaps.

5- For instance, if you, or your children, lock you out of your car, it can easily be unlocked by phoning into the call center of the service you choose. This is also a very handy feature if you tend to lose your car in a crowded parking lot, they will find it for you and send the lights flashing and the horn honking for you. Maybe the best thing about being able to call for help in these types of situations is that you don???t have to actually see the grins on the faces of the people you are speaking with.

6- For many parents, this device can give them peace of mind. It gives them the ability to call and check upon the exact whereabouts of a car that is being driven by a child without directly interfering with their plans.

7- The advantages of having a GPS vehicle tracking system installed are numerous, but beware of what you are paying for before you sign on the dotted line. Find out exactly what options your plan covers and what the monthly service fee is. Make sure also, that your system is being installed by someone who is licensed to do so.

Vehicle Tracking of Terrorists

Surveillance professionals all know that those they are watching are generally very mobile; moving from place to place often. The FBI and CIA know that to keep a careful eye on such folks is difficult, time consuming and extremely costly from a logistical standpoint. A man on man coverage is often employed as a strategy much like a basketball defense strategy; expect in this case the surveillance team becomes the background of the target. Another way to set up a defense program is thru tracking each and every target with in a larger grid format; grid defense. This becomes problematic when the hand off a surveillance target crosses territorial boundaries or during transition the target does something unexpected.

The target can be picked back up if indeed their vehicles or method of transportation has been adequately tagged with proper equipment. There are issues of course with the switching of vehicles. Often targets are lost when the target “gamma” flips during the transition and makes “U”-Turn and then switches vehicles or does something which is not in his previous bag of tricks or normal anticipated method of operations.

Bugging vehicles is problematic for those who have anti-bugging devices and it is further compromised thru misdirection of a target that understands he is being targeted. Carefully orchestrating baloney into conversations on phones and in certain rooms of homes or in vehicles the target that knows of such surveillance can cause excessive misdirection and cause alarm to those who pursue for clues. In the case of International Terrorists; “Fear Factor” is the weapon, so even if no plot exists; a fictitious plot can put everyone on Red Alert unnecessarily. Knowing that 95% of Intelligence gathering is pure bull and about 5% actually relevant, it makes the jobs of the surveillance professionals quite tedious. They need to track down each particular BS conversation and lead and exhaust it before continuing. This often costs money in payroll and time to background check all peoples involved and all the plausible stories.

With more and more people being put onto watch lists by paranoid government bureaucrats and more and more people using the government to attack their enemies by putting them on watch lists, the costs are becoming quite high. This means budget increases of taxpayer’s monies, which is an issue due to government borrowing. As the Department of Homeland security has found, it is nearly impossible to keep an eye on every new possible in country insurgent in the United States and those who are in organized crime such as gangs, radical groups or even potential connections to International Terrorists.

I propose a new invention. A passive RFID Tag, which connects to the electrical system of a car. Here is how it should work. First the antenna of the RFID tag would be made of a highly conductive material and would have razor sharp inner angles. Here is a picture of an RFID Tag;

Figure Number One:

http://www.microstripes.com/applications/rfid/tag1.gif

Figure Number Two:

http://www.none-o-your.biz/issues/tags/rfid-swsas-03.jpg

The tags would be attached under the car to exposed wires, which would give them energy when needed. The passive tags would simply ride on the wires until they passed a sensor. The sensors readers would be put inside the road sign poles out of site and have a small piece of tape on the exterior of the sign which would be a cell phone antenna. The road sign itself would be the RFID receiver antenna, which would be placed in the outer border glow in the dark strip around the road sign.

In figure one the RFID Tag antenna would be placed along the wire and attached by splicing the wire in two points along the length of the antenna. In figure two the antenna would be placed perhaps inside of a frame rail and wedged against an automotive electrical wire and splice it at one point where the RFID Tag pierces the polymer insulation on the wire. Each time a target passed by such a road sign the tag would be alert the center for FBI Surveillance.

By using this system we could reduce the number of FBI agents on the payroll and reduce the taxpayers expense for surveillance teams by turning to some old fashion grid defense surveillance. During the cold war the FBI had put transponder units in the dash boards of the Russian Diplomatic Cars which would beep and identify the car each time it crossed a bridge out of Washington DC. Such a plan is not without some history, but with the new technology and passive RFID Tags no one would know that their car was being watched. The good part is that a helicopter, specially equipped police car, truck stop, cargo container crane, rest stop, overpass or border crossing could easily be equipped with the same receiver device and would instantly pick up the gamma target and alert Central Command.

I believe that it is possible to track nearly all suspected International Terrorists without excessive cost to the taxpayer or mistakes during hand offs from MI 6, Scotland Yards, FBI, CIA or other international anti-terrorist survelliance teams. Adding the latest and newest and least expensive technology to our arsenal will save millions of dollars of taxpayer’s money and many lives. Please think on this plan.
